Brisbane, Australia – Today VMP eLearning are excited to announce that our work on the So you want to be a councillor? online learning course has taken out the Platinum Award at the 2020 LearnX Online Summit in the category of Best Certification Training Project. The project was created in collaboration with the Queensland Department of Local Government, Racing and Multicultural Affairs, who was represented by Project Manager, Claire Moffat.
VMP eLearning Managing Director, Mr. Ian Chapman said that “I’m super proud of the team, and really please that we could deliver a great project for a great client. It’s been a real pleasure working with the team at the Department of Local Government, Racing and Multicultural Affairs, in particular Craig, Brock, Sam and Claire. I believe that the this product will help to deliver better outcomes for Queensland communities”.
The project aims to educate those seeking to represent their local area as a Councillor or Mayor anywhere in Queensland in responsibilities and appropriate conduct of those in public office. The course incorporates a variety of contemporary learning strategies including gamification, animated scenario content, interactive assessments and implementation of Adult Learning Principles. VMP eLearning’s Director of Education and Learning Strategies, Dr. Ruth Schwarzenböck stated that she “is really excited. It is so rewarding when your hard work is recognised and makes me feel good to have provided our client with an excellent product”.
Due to COVID-19, the awards were held via online summit and were a great success for a variety of eLearning providers across the country. We however, could not be more proud of the team here at VMP eLearning for creating this (officially) award winning product.
