VMP eLearning blog on 360 video

It’s that time of year again folks, we’re looking back on the fantastic, innovative and engaging projects we’ve completed over the last 12 months. Welcome to VMP eLearning’s 2019-2020 newsletter!

Queensland Department of Local Government, Racing & Multicultural Affairs | Councillor Compliance Training

QDLGRMA Councillor Compliance online induction elearning course

After the successful completion of the So you want to be a councillor (SYWTBC) training course in 2019, VMP eLearning was again contracted by the Queensland Department of Local Government, Racing & Multicultural Affairs to produce an online induction course and reference tools for local members and councillors who had been elected during the March 2020 Queensland Local Government elections. Each module was created to cover a certain aspect of public life including how to manage community expectations, declaring conflicts of interests and dealing with agencies such as the Crime and Corruption Commission, the Office of the Independent Assessor and the Office of the Information Commissioner. The modules included animated scenarios, interactive activities and alternating voiceovers to keep the users engaged. The course was developed as a ‘reference tool’ with no expiry date or limit on the amount of times users can go through the modules. This means that every Queensland councillor has a wealth of information at their fingertips to help them provide a better government to their communities.

Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works | QFleet Driver Induction

QFleet Driver Induction eLearning course

The QFleet branch of the Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works came to VMP eLearning regarding the upgrade of their Driver Induction eLearning course to meet WCAG guidelines for their visually and audio impaired users. HPW is committed to ensuring that every staff member within the Queensland Government receives the same opportunities and training, no matter what, and we were so excited to help them achieve this goal. After several brainstorming sessions, we developed new techniques that could plug into the existing course and create a more wholistic approach to learning and development across the entire QFleet and HPW branch. The course is now compatible with desktop and mobile, along with several screen reading programs and includes a professionally recorded voiceover courtesy of VMP eLearning.

Queensland Health – Metro North Hospital & Health Services | Online Privacy Training

Metro North Hospital new Online Privacy Training eLearning course

Ever wondered what it takes to produce a SUPER privacy training eLearning course? Well WONDER NO MORE, for it is time to introduce you all to… WONDERMAN! The brainchild of the creative team at our sister company VMP, WONDERMAN was a character developed to guide users through Metro North’s new Online Privacy Training eLearning course. The video scenarios for this course were filmed over three days on location at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and were accompanied in the eLearning course by some of the Cyber Security videos you may remember from 2018. The final course was custom designed by longtime friend and collaborator Myck Stewart and includes interactive questionnaires, as well as additional information presented by key members of the Metro North Executive team. The course will be rolled out in the 2020/21 Financial Year to all staff within the Metro North hospital and health services network.
